Maia Call
​Maia Call is a quantitative social scientist with a passion for all things data and research. Her methodological skills include spatial and statistical quantitative analyses and demographic methods. She is also an expert in geographic concepts, survey research, and demographic theory. She received her doctorate in Geography from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2017 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center, a NSF-funded interdisciplinary research center affiliated with the University of Maryland at College Park, in 2019. Her past research has ranged from examining environmentally-induced temporary migration in Bangladesh to exploring the implications of climate change for rural livelihoods in Uganda. Dr. Call is currently a Council on Library and Information Resources Postdoctoral Fellow working with the Data Services team at USAID as a Data Scientist.
